How do I cancel my subscription?
Open Umbrify → Account tab → Manage Subscription → Cancel Plan. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period. You can also email us at [email protected] and we will cancel it for you within 24 hours.
How do I delete my account and data?
Open Umbrify → Account tab → scroll to the bottom → Delete Account. This permanently deletes all your data including monitored emails, breach results, and scan history within 30 days. This action cannot be undone.
What data does Umbrify store about me?
We store the email addresses you choose to monitor, your breach scan results, your safety score history, and your subscription status. We never store your passwords — password checks happen entirely on your device using k-anonymity. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
How does breach monitoring work?
Umbrify checks your monitored email addresses against the Have I Been Pwned (HIBP) database daily. When a new breach is detected, you receive a push notification. Shield and Vault plan users get continuous monitoring; free (Radar) users can scan manually.
Is my password ever sent to your servers?
No. When you check a password, it is hashed with SHA-1 locally on your device. Only the first 5 characters of the hash are sent to Have I Been Pwned — this is called k-anonymity. Your actual password never leaves your device.
Why is my safety score low?
Your safety score reflects the number and severity of breaches found across your monitored emails. Critical breaches (those exposing passwords, financial data, or government IDs) have the largest impact. Completing the "Fix It" steps inside each breach card will help you improve your score over time.
I upgraded but my plan has not changed.
Go to Account → Restore Purchase to sync your subscription. If it still shows the wrong plan after a few minutes, email us at [email protected] with your Apple receipt and we will fix it manually.
How do I request my data (GDPR / CCPA)?
Email [email protected] with the subject "Data Request" and we will respond within 30 days with a full export of your personal data.
